The Creek nation is going to break ground November 8th on the long awaited $100 million casino and resort at about 83rd and Riverside in Tulsa, to be located on the Arkansas river just south of the current casino.

The Creek Nation also continues to look into doing a casino downtown in the Brady District with developer David Sharp near the historic Cain's Ballroom and Brady Theater.

There is also some news going around about the Cherokee Casino and Resort in Catoosa, that they are going to break ground soon on a major expansion of the casino and also build a second hotel tower, this is not confirmed news yet though.

The Tulsa world reported it will be done in three phases costing $120 million with a casino, shops, theater, restuarants and a hotel on the river.

The tribe has also purchased land on the opposite (west) bank of the river from the casino and would like to do a complimenting development. That land is is just north of the Riverwalk Crossing center in Jenks

It's about time. Last year I was at the present day Creek Nation Casino....it was the probably the worst experience I've ever had at a state casino.

By the way guys, I went to the new Osage Casino a few months ago, on the NW side of Tulsa. It isn't as large as Cherokee, but I was still impressed. I like the music theme!
