Covid-19 couldn't keep one of Oklahoma City's oldest bars down for long.

After the previous owners had announced plans to stay shuttered after the state's required closure of all bars, a new ownership group has stepped in with plans to reopen in July.

The LittlePage Group, owners of STAG Lounge in Deep Deuce, Omerta Cigar Company and Puros Cigar House, will be operating the bar that first opened in 1958.

The group plans to construct a patio addition and add medical-grade air purifiers but aims to keep much of the old-school charm.

The Wilshire Club is located at 2917 W. Wilshire Boulevard, just west of May Avenue.

It is finally time!! My partners and I are honored to be able to carry on the 62 year tradition of the Wilshire Club. Hopefully you will agree that we were able to save some of the charm and tradition while updating the club. The paneling, the bar and the rolling chairs are still there. We still take cash but will now take credit cards. New additions include a 2500 square foot patio with firepits and actual doors on the ladies' room stall instead of shower curtains.
