Just curious...

Yes. When I’ve gone to the grocery I’ve been going before work on weekdays when few people are there. I make sure to keep my distance with those who are there, wipe the cart down as soon as I go in, wipe down the car and me and everything else I can think of when I get back to the car. In a nutshell I take responsibility for my well being instead of expecting others to do it for me.

Yes, with the caveat that have been doing so at low volume times, so rarely others to pass or backtrack from after getting item(s) and have been able to go directly to the self checkout

Moot point as the two stores I patronize employ them.

This morning was the first time I have encountered (or noticed these). I havent been grocery shopping in a few weeks though.

There were maybe 20 people in the entire grocery store so I found the one-way arrows completely annoying. I did not obey them as there were not anyone in any of the aisles I was going in.

Homeland on Classen has them, and the few times I've gone in no one seemed to be following them.

We've been in the Classen Homeland and pretty much everybody has been following the arrows when we've been (twice now, and going tomorrow). One big problem there is the stockers with their huge carts almost blocking aisles, forcing people to walk right next to them. Do they think that just because they've got a mask on, they don't need to stay 6 feet away from anybody?

No.

I’ve been to the Homeland on 122nd twice since they put down the arrows. Both times probably 50/50 following the arrows.

Yes. I don’t live my life in fear. In my age group and health, I have a higher chance of dying driving to work next week.

You don't really get the concepts of contagion and public health, do you?

And you do know, it’s not all about you, right?

Then those people that don’t want to risk getting sick can stay inside. I just don’t get this logic.

It's OK, we can just live on take out food so we're not around the "carriers." We dont need groceries.

If it was necessary, yes. I do not head out, anywhere, without mask and gloves.

Classen Homeland has upped its game - only 69 people allowed in the store at one time, only one person per cart, employee monitoring the produce/deli area to make sure folks are following the rules, more cashier shields (they were only on the belt side of the cashier, now they extend further down the counter and have a hole in them for putting your card/DL through). Most folks followed the red standing-in-line spots and one-way arrows, but I had to point the arrows out to a few people (one got snarky, another rolled her eyes, and one was nice and said "Oh, sorry, didn't even notice, thanks"). And no stockers in sight, aisles just had customers in them.

One-way aisles

Most people don't like to be stopped and told what to do. Covid-19 will test our endurance to work together to defeat this pandemic.

^^^ Homeland only has them at the ends of each aisle, Walmart's extra one in the middle seems like it would be better and draw more attention to them.

Either way is fine with me. I usually shop in a direct path anyway. I've always shopped from one side of the store to the other so I don't have to visit the same aisle twice. I am in and out shopper. I get what I need and I get out. A controlled store would just make me make sure I had a list so I didn't miss anything.
