As the title states we are looking for a contractor to install an electric swinging gate for our driveway. We live in Lincoln Terrace, so I'd prefer a company with experience in working within the bounds of historic preservation properties. I am envisioning a simple wrought iron gate across our narrow driveway with remote control access.

If you have any companies or individuals I should seek out, or folks I should stay away from, I'd love to hear about it!

Thanks!

Put a solar back up on it or a manual release if it is your driveway access. Hate to not be able to get out when the power is down.

This is great advice. I would not have thought about that!

Thanks. The other thing is unless you need it for animal control, I would set it a little high 4-6 inches so it doesnt hang up in snow. All stuff I learned by mistake :)
