Here's wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving; a special thanks to all of the volunteers who assist those establishments who cater to our poor. To all of our military and their families who keep us safe; also our hospitals, police & fire. God Bless, America.

Use this thread to take the time to say thanks...

Yes, Happy Thanksgiving to all!
I’ve had a year that sometimes I wondered if I would feel like giving thanks but I see how even when life is a struggle I have a great deal to be thankful for.

Thnaks for the thanks. I am a retired firefighter so ya, worked many Thanksgivings and Christmases. Today (Thanksgiving marks 10 yrs since my last day on shift) Just taking an easy day and enjoying the weather. Ham sandwich and pie for the day. Just don't feel like cooking a big meal for just me. Much rather just enjoy the nice weather/day. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

I am thankful. I am realizing one of the effects of getting older is that “senior roles” at holidays are coming my way. Feel unworthy

Yes! So sad to think of the firefighters and those who have lost their homes and worse. Be thankful! Happy Thanksgiving and much love to everyone. :)

Both of my parents are now gone so l know exactly how you feel. My siblings and l are now the seniors. I also, feel unworthy, but also a little uncomfortable being in the old generation.

This was our first holiday without Mom and Dad. Wasn't quite the same without Dad doing the blessing. We recreated Mom's dishes in her actual serving dishes but wan't the same without them. Being a military family...it has always been us four boys and mom and dad no matter where we were at.
