The 62 acres north of Wal-Mart where the Warren Theater will be is going to be called Riverwalk North. The theater will take 40% of the land there There will be 10 commercial lots for upscale retail, restaurants, and other entertainment stores. Harley Davidson is supposed to relocate there, but nothing is confirmed yet. The city will put a stoplight at SW 11th on Telephone Rd. to control traffic.

The city has rezoned land south of Gordman's for the next phase of the Riverwalk Centre which is at the bottom of the second picture.

What river? Where does the name Riverwalk come from?

They are calling the ditch/creek a "river".

They are just trying to capitalize off of the Bricktown Riverwalk.

At the south end of the property they have already built a retention pond, so I think they are going to try to raise the water level so there will be a little river.

That is pretty neat idea. Hopefully other places in OK will catch on to this idea, as it does make a good area to have shopping and gatherings. OKC's will always be prime but it doesn't hurt to capitalize on the idea.
