Plans are labeled as Westgate IV, which implies the superstore will be the first phase of a larger expansion of Westgate Marketplace, an huge retail development directly north of Interstate 40 between MacArthur and Rockwell. Zerby Interests, the developer of Westgate, had previously announced plans to continue the development along the south side of I-40.
The site plan for the retailer shows the intention to extend roads to the west through what is now vacant land on the south frontage of the interstate.

Floor & Decor is based in Smyrna, Georgia and operates 70 warehouse-format stores featuring tile, wood, laminate and natural stone flooring along with decorative accessories.
The company went public earlier this year in order to fund aggressive expansion plans and prioritize markets where home building and housing markets are strong.
One of Floor & Decor's main competitors, Lumber Liquidators, has experienced problems since 60 Minutes ran an expose claiming the company sells many flooring products with unsafe levels of formaldehyde.
