Anyone rented a ski-boat/runabout boat on an Oklahoma lakes, specifically one of the larger lakes like Grand, Eufala, Texoma, or Broken Bow? Any recommendations?

I like being on the lake though its a heck of a drive from OKC to get to a big lake so I cant really justify the investment/upkeep/storage it would take so I figure renting one for the day is the way to go. I've rented runabouts on Jackson Lake in Wyoming and Ski Boats at Table Rock Lake in Missouri and have had a blast every time.

I boat at Lake Murray and have gotten to know the marina management over the years. They only rent pontoons. The former manager told me there was a huge increase in runabout insurance and liability and maintenance, and there is a great increase in margin of error!!! That is why they didn't ever get into the business. I will ask around, and post if my lake friends know of any place that does this.

We have rented pontoon boats from the Broken Bow marina three or four times. They have runabouts. Easy no hassle so far. (Have rented multiple times in Arkansas and Florida too. Never had a problem.)

Lake Ouachita, Arkansas. Scroll down the page for boats and rates. Rented there late last year. There are other renters at Lake Ouachita.

I was going to mention Beavers Bend as well. You may also check out Tenkiller. Back in the day I remember renting a ski boat, but that's been awhile.
