Is anyone familiar with a blog website you can pay month to month instead of a full year? If so please explain. Thanks!

why would you pay?

you can setup a wordpress.com site for free... for a subdomain anyway... unless you were wanting a domain with it...

I second this. I'm a fan of wordpress and I use the free version to do a lot.

In my experience many are free (blogger.com, blog.com, wordpress, etc.)

Of course you often get what you pay for and FREE doesn't always meet other goals of your blog (traffic constraints, monetization, customization, professional appearance, branding, etc.).

There are lots of free, monthly, and annually paid blog hosting websites.

For anyone here to be able to give much useful info, we'd probably need to know more about what you are trying to achieve (beyond month-to-month payments).

Personally, I'm a huge fan of SquareSpace and that's what several of my websites utilize currently. They offer monthly or annual payment plans.

I've used 1and 1.com in the past, though for a website, not a blog. Never had any grumbles about them.

I have been using surpasshosting.com for my hosting and domain services since 2003. They do have monthly hosting (not including domain regristration - $16 a year) rates starting at 15 a month. Their uptime is almost 100%, tech support is quick and great. They use a user backend called cpanel where you can automatically install things like wordpress and bbforums. Their servers are located in Orlando.

If you use 1&1, get the Linux package (not Windows) and then you can spin off your own instances of WordPress super easily using their App Center.
