My guess is that they were looking for a specific building height and setup in the region, and Cotter Ranch Tower most closely qualified. Cotter is also a Texan, so perhaps there was a connection there..?

They also have a large non busy plaza area with Cotter Ranch which allowed it to happen.

Yeah, that's part of what I meant by "setup." That said, many downtowns have lifeless plazas on weekends. But I think you and I are saying the same thing; the building was probably chosen for a number of logistical reasons that fit their need.

Does anyone else hat the name Cotter Ranch? People already think OKC is the same as it was in 1889, no need to reinforce that with a building named Ranch.
