I thought this was rather interesting. I don't know much about the science of it, but it's neat to see someone local working on something like this...

I seriously question whether this thing would work. With the scale that it seems to need to produce the kind of power he's talking about, building one much much smaller looks like it won't work at all. I would think the precision in construction needed for a useful demonstrator would be difficult to get with something built by hand.

I saw it on the news and just smh. The dome looked like it was about to cave in several places....I wish him luck.

As an engineer. The concept is possible, but I don't think it is very practical. I also really don't understand the point of the dome, you could accomplish the same thing much cheaper and better with guy wires.
