This is part of the Vision package, but it's a huge expansion of the Museum and should have it's own thread.

This project will match $75 million in Vision funds with $50 million from private donors and The University of Tulsa (who manages the museum) for a total $125 million project that will add 100,000 square feet to the museum. Today Gilcrease can only display 2% of it's $2 billion collection, this project will bring a lot of very valuable art and artifacts out of storage.

To compare, the Walton family backed Crystal Bridges Museum in NW Arkansas has a collection worth 1/10th of what Gilcrease has.

Looks pretty neat. I hope Vision passes for Tulsa's sake.

Holy smokes, a 100,000 sq. ft. expansion?

Yes please. With Gilcrease being a gem already, I can't even imagine right now what this could do for not only the museum, but Tulsa as well.
And I had no idea that Gilcrease can only showcase 2% of it's entire collection... Wow.

What happens if the Vision package isn't passed? Will they still build what they can with the private donations?
