Unfortunately the same as the rest of the states where there are deranged kids who dont want to live anymore but think its OK to take others with them when they want to die. The media simply needs to stop reporting on them to keep the killers from being publicized.

While things like these make the news more than average assaults, if there were only few people stabled and one person in a stand off with police with a gun per day in California, it would be an improvement in their stats on both. There is almost 39 million people there, even just the tiny percentage of people that commit assaults adds up to pretty large number of them per year.
