Thought I'd create a thread for interesting buildings that don't really warrant a stand-alone topic -- unless they are redeveloped or something similar.

I'll lead off with this very cool structure on the NW corner of NW 16th & Youngs built in 1925. With a little cleanup it could be special. Note the balcony for the residential units above.

I've always loved both of those. The seem like they're from another place...but that's probably because most similar buildings were scrubbed from the city long ago.

While not historic, the City Glass building on NW 5th just west of Shartel is pretty cool:

The old Beauty's Cafe at 1101 NW 11th.

Constructed in 1910; built into the side of a small hill.

The Porter Law building directly west of The Rise (on the right in first photo) is super cool, particularly the stone-walled back courtyard.

And yes, restaurant operators have been trying to work deals here -- would be an amazing spot.

That back courtyard would be a cool spot for a beer garden.

I can see a lot being done with the old law building. Like AP mentioned, a beer garden would be cool. As for the old Beauty's Cafe, eh, I don't know about that. I've seen that building before but never knew what it was.

I'd like to get some pictures of some of the buildings on S. Robinson, close to Capitol Hill; there are amazing structures in that area that just need someone to bring them back to life.

Current site of the OKC Public Schools HQ, before it moves to its new spot at 6th & Classen.

I know they are desparate to leave because the place is falling apart, but great potential for redevelopment into housing. Small building to the immediate west is also part of the HQ.

Love this one.. my friend owns it and another friend has a salon in the lower left portion of it. .the upstairs living is amazing and he is only the 3rd owner I believe. Most of the original fixtures are still there. The house directly to the east has the same floor plan as the upstairs. it was built later when the eldest member ( mother ) of the Family got up in years and wasn't good with stairs so they built basically same floor plan next door. Its a great property.

Hubcap Alley? I drive through there everyday and would love to see some people turn those auto shops in to some cool bars/restaurants/retail but it's probably not quite ready for that, not till the lower park is built.

One of many four-plexes in Jefferson Park. This one is directly north of the Tower Theater:

I really think that is my favorite part of Jefferson Park. Those four-plexes are so cool.

Hopefully whoever eventually tries to develop this will attempt to save the existing structure instead of tearing down to build from the ground up. There are a lot of old, dilapidated buildings in the Core 2 Shore area and I am sure this will be a heated debate in 5-10 years once developers start taking an interest in it.

I grew up a block over to the west from there. My foot prints are all over that place. Very cool shot Pete.
