I think this got a little bit of attention here last year, but OKC is once again set to be one of dozens of international cities to host a local edition of the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. The ride raises money to help fight prostate cancer, and consists of riders on classic (or classic-styled) motorcycles, dressed to be dapper (bringing a bit of civility back to motorcycling!).

The 2015 Distinguished Gentlemans Ride (http://www.gentlemansride.com/)

This year's installment on September 27th will be our second annual; the international event predates that by a couple of years. In 2014 we had around 30 riders, which was an excellent showing for a first-year city and equal to or better than some major metropolitan areas. I would expect this year's to be considerably more.

If you are interested in participating, you may register on the site...it's a great time, I promise! Here is the registration page: Register - The 2015 Distinguished Gentlemans Ride (http://www.gentlemansride.com/register)

If you're feeling generous and would like to sponsor me ($2 minimum...even just a few bucks helps!) my sponsor page is here: Sponsor UrbanizedOkie on the 2015 Distinguished Gentlemans Ride (http://www.gentlemansride.com/rider/urbanizedokie)

Thanks for your consideration, and if you ride I hope to see you!

Looks cool, but I think my Harley cruiser would be out of place. I do have the curly mustache though....

In think my '85 GN250 is quirky enough to fit the bill, but it sure isn't reliable enough for me to confidently register! Wouldn't mind winning one of those Thruxtons though.
