I need to quit reading the news because it gets my blood pressure up. This one pisses me off to the highest level and as much as I am against torture of any kind I wouldn't mind turning this guy over to some experts.


SAN ANTONIO — A man has been arrested after police say he poured acid on a 5-year-old pit bull in southeast San Antonio.

Audra Houghton with Animal Care Services says 45-year-old Ignacio Sanchez Alvarez was arrested Tuesday. Houghton said the pit bull named Rosie was found with chemical burns on 100 percent of her face at the end of July.

According to the agency, Rosie’s right ear was dissolved by the acid and her left ear was partially consumed. Officials say she may be permanently blind. Rosie is scheduled for surgery to help her regain her sight.

Houghton said the suspect faces a felony charge of cruelty to a non-livestock animal and could face a misdemeanor for animal cruelty of failing to render adequate care.

Hopefully the dog makes a recovery and gets adopted into a wonderful home. As for "Ignacio", forget the felony and misdemeanor charges and take him out into a field and beat him senseless with a aluminum baseball bat.
