I've heard of a few, but they're all charging some sort of fee for attendance so far.

I think I saw on their Twitter that sidecar would be. I'm sure they will have a great crowd.

Just found a Buffalo Wild Wings that will be showing it for a 10 buck admission. Thanks all for your input.

This is one a friend mentioned. There is something at D&B's on the Expressway but it's almost $60 or something ridiculous. I can't recall the other right off the top of my head, but I'll shoot you a reply if I think of it.

And this is why boxing doesn't register for the average sports fan. It went the route of pay-per-view in the '70s and '80s and they made it difficult for the average Joe to watch it. In the first half of the 20th century, boxing depended on the average Joe for its popularity. The average Joe could listen on the radio and watch it on TV. But their greed for the PPV dollar took the sport into obscurity. Sports fans used to know the boxers by name and keep up with it, but anymore average sports fans only know the big names but don't know much about them. UFC is becoming the new boxing. Sure it has PPV too, but you can also catch a decent amount on regular TV.

You can catch a ton of solid boxing on TV as well, and the fights are usually much more entertaining because they guys aren't scared of getting KO'd like in the big money bouts. ESPN Friday Night Fights, NBC Sports now has some boxing as well. I am old school, I hate UFC.

I'm the same way, as far as greatly preferring boxing. I grew up watching Ali with my dad and got hooked, though I lost a bit of my taste for it after I watched Boom Boom Mancini kill Duk Koo Kim in the ring.

That said, while I don't really enjoy watching MMA on the tube I've now seen a few fights front-row at casinos and I have to say it is a lot more interesting in person.

Nevada statewide handle on fight expected to be - $60million. VP of MGM book said he had NEVER seen this much media in Vegas for any event. Current odds - Mayweather -200 and Manny P +170 with about 3 to 1 ticket counts on Manny P so odds will likely keep moving to even money. Most wise guys are thought to be shopping for best Mayweather odds but there have been some major six figure bets on Pacquiao and there will be $1 million dollar bets made before the fight he predicted.

Pacquiao bettors are betting with their hearts, imo. Gotta go with the wise guys and bet the chalk on this one.

Agree with you. Heard one boxing expert compare Pacquiao to 3 years ago and said his "body has changed" and the ESPN guys took that to mean he's off the juice. Regardless, you'd think Mayweather would be the side to lay your money on. OH and there is a Kentucky Derby horse tomorrow named Knockout.

As Dan Patrick said on ESPN radio, "Have you ever seen an Eagle Scout in the ring? No, you haven't." Keith Olbermann has gone so far as to urge a boycott of the fight because of Mayweather. They both don't like him (let me count the reasons), but Patrick had a point. He thinks boxing isn't sport as much as it is entertainment. But, at the end of the day, people will root against Floyd Mayweather - while placing their bets on him to win. I don't know where to go see it Saturday night, but I want to. Mostly to hope to see Manny P beat up on Mayweather a little bit before the (probably) inevitable Mayweather punch that wins it. There may not be a more hated man in all of sports (or..err...entertainment) than Floyd Mayweather. So, Manny, pull a miracle and put Mr. "Best Ever" to sleep.

The goal in boxing is don't get hit. It's not knock a guy out. The sweet science was in full effect tonight.

That is true but watching two guys just jabbing here and there over 12 rounds is BORING

Watched it at Pizza 23 and prior to the fight, saw a bearded guy wearing a farmers hat that made him look Amish crack some guy that was acting like a jackass in the face. That ended up being the most entertaining part of the experience. As for he fight itself, glad I didn't pay anything to watch it.

Reminded me why I quit caring about boxing years ago. Saw a meme the stated the real fight was between Jamie Foxx and the national anthem. Pretty much sums up the night.

Not gonna lie, I just looked at a feed online at home. Granted it was in Spanish, but still. Glad I did not pay cover to watch this (most bars in Dallas were charging $20-50). Everything about the fight was awful frankly. The national anthem, Justin Bieber's face, just all of it. At one point it just came a big "hate-watch."

And I find both Mayweather and Pacquiao to be morally reprehensible, so the only victory for me would the floor of MGM to open up and swallow them all up. Sadly that did not happen.

i know mayweather's got a checkered past, but don't know enough about pacquiao... why is he morally reprehensible to you?

I don't know if it was public knowledge or not but going into a big money fight with a torn shoulder would have greatly affected the odds. That was a bit sneaky.

Big late action came in on Mayweather. He got bet from a -190 fav to -250 in the hours just before the fight especially at the MGM controlled books. In other words the late, smart money was on Mayweather.

Was a serious alcoholic and chronic wife cheater at one point; owed about $75 million in back taxes to both the US and Philippines, is largely an absentee legislative member in the Filipino Congress, and is a fairly hardcore homophobe (at one point saying gays should be killed). He loves him some Jesus, I'll give him that.
