Absolutely loved Star Trek as a child. A great series with a wonderful diverse{at the time} cast.
RIP

I'd like to believe that he is still alive and well in a mirror universe.

A mirror version that didn't smoke, but really 83 is still a pretty long life.

Mr. Nimoys passing saddens me. I was enjoying his reprisal of the Mr. Spock character in the reboot of the Star Trek franchise. RIP.

I've set my phaser on "weep."

He looked and sounded so cool when he hosted "In Search Of". He rocked that turtleneck sweater and blazer look.

I was just thinking about this. I would almost say In Search Of... impacted my young mind even more than Star Trek.

It's also interesting/humorous to read the President's statement. I hope everyone got that he was comparing himself to Spock, big ears and all.

oh yeah... when i was on summer break in junior high, i'd spend many weekday afternoons watching hours of old "in search of" reruns on a&e. -M

Sad to see the techno lynch mob going after Shatner for not ditching his obligations to attend Nimoy's funeral.

Shatner defends absence from Nimoy's funeral (http://www.cnn.com/2015/03/01/entertainment/feat-william-shatner-nimoy-funeral/index.html)

Personally, I don't take issue with it.

Spock would probably think it would be "Highly Illogical" to walk out on a large fundraiser to attend his funeral.
