Just watched this [uninterrupted] rerun of Excellence.
Ken Burns is a genius who knows exactly why and how to give credit.
[memorable quote/paraphrase regarding all those who help him share near perfection]:
(in regard to the team of artists who are willingly conducted by him)

This is what Ken Burns Said.
"When it goes right it's 'Us' . . .
[in regard to the team of artists he conducts] . . .
"When it goes wrong it's 'Me'."

Characteristic of Leadership, I'd guess . . .
Sorta' Abrahamlincolnesque . . . if ya' think about it. =)

I've often thought: There are no new thoughts. We are all compilers.

Ken Burns is The Compilers' Compiler.
And one of the best Artist/Composers ever.

Translation: Ken Burns is a brilliant man and artist who has proven time after time that it is possible to recreate history from still photographs, and, in so recreating history, revisioning a future that is beneficial to all if we pay attention to the mistakes of the past. I, personally, appreciate OETA providing the free lecture.

P.S. (to the point) (vis-à-vis Abrahamlincolnesque =)
Certainly not the best rendition of the concept . . .
Yet better versions can be Googled. The version I heard first was on a cassette tape.
Studio version. Prior to the animated and edited '86 version, below . . . =)
