:boff: :boff: Ha ha! Mariner62, it's not likely that I'm ever gonna be "OK" ... I'm much too compulsive obsessive for that to happen! But, as to where I've been, I've been here, there, and everywhere, with TOO many projects to work on and TOO little time to do them, and a WIFE who is not at all impressed that I've not been attentive to her preferences as to my time spent, as well! OkcTalk got passed its "July" impasse nicely, so I started working on some stuff of my own that I'm also obsessive compusive about! ME ... uhh ... strike that ... my downtown Oklahoma City web pages!

I've not posted much (hardly anything) lately ... I replied to Dungeon Master a day or two ago ... and I do check in at least every other day or so ... but that "infrequent lurking" and almost non-posting is not because I'm not happy, etc., with OkcTalk, not at all. My lastest anal rententive compulsive obsessive project has been to work on a major revision to my "vintage" pages at http://www.dougloudenback.com/downtownOkc.htm which are not yet ready for prime time but should be in a day or three. I'm about ready to add many new images and a much improved "Vintage Downtown Oklahoma City" clickable map. I just LOVE to work on those vintage pics and pages but it really is time consuming. But, gawd, it's really gonna be too cool! But, in the meantime, my wife hates me!

Here's a small example of what I've been working on ... only a couple of images, but maybe it will give you a notion of what I've been spending my time on:

The new "vintage clickable map" (this pic-map won't work here, but in the "real deal", when you click on an item a page showing one or multiple images and brief description of the item will open ... and if you don't think that only a compulsive obsessive personality would undetake to do such a thing, for free, well let me put my "shrink" hat on and speak with you, even though I'm fond of doing that with myself to myself!):

and an example of a new item in the movie theater cagetory which links to the above vintage clickable map:

I'm OK! You're OK! Just been busy. And thanks for asking! When I'm done (as if I ever will be), I'll post a message or two in OkcTalk.

Hey, thats cool Doug, glad to "see" ya again. I understand how it is sometimes when ya just dont have time to sit. I used to frequent another forums, and was on all the time. But then summer came, and projects around the house came. I guess if it was'nt only me here I'd really have NO time at all for sitting, as it is now I have very little, at least until my freakin kitchen is done, I am gonna write a book on that one. Seems everytime I paint, I find a flaw and have to paint again, I'm kinda anal, not an anal as some may think I am :), but just real picky. Ok, getting off the subject here a little again, but just glad your doing ok, thanks for the pictures.

That's a great project Doug - that will be interesting to look into when you are finished, let us know when it is ready for viewing. Don't stay away too long...

Ok Ok!

This morning, I've "finished" (as though that word means something "absolute") my revisions to the vintage map pages of my Downtown Oklahoma City webpages. I've also made corresponding revisions to downtown Okc pages associated with this change.

I've not had time to incorporate "new" images into the "Vintage Decades" pages, but they are accessible in the revised "Vintage Map" page. In this map, you should be able to click on a particular building in the map and a separate page should open showing 1 or more images associated with that building.

The standard "portal" page for my downtown Okc pages is http://www.dougloudenback.com/downtownOKC.htm

A direct link to the revised "Vintage Map" page is: http://www.dougloudenback.com/downtown/vintage/oldmap.htm

A direct link to the new"Movies" page (which shows downtown cinema before the 1970s Urban Renewal) is here: http://www.dougloudenback.com/downtown/vintage/1.movies.htm

I've not had time to update the "Decades Pages" to include the several new images which are presently only accessible through the Vintage Map. I'll get around to that shortly.

Any of you checking out these pages who find mistakes/loading errors/whatever, I'd appreciate your feedbback.

I'll post a similar message in the current Okc issues page here (I forget what it's called) so that info will not be limited to premium members here. Again, I'd appreciate any feedback.

A "mirror" of my downtownOKC pages should be available here at OkcTalk very shortly, I'm pleased to say. Todd will be doing the finishing touches in the next day or so. I hope that all of you enjoy them!
