Harn Homestead (do a google search) is having an event Sept. 1 , 5-8 p.m. at 313 NE 16th (south of the Capitol off Lincoln on NE 16th) It looks like fun. Some highlights I know about so far:
* Live Music by Airfair & Byron White
* Free Food by Earls Rib Palace, Eli's Custom Catering, Deep Deuce Grill
* Cash Bar
* Door Prize Redhawks Suite (we need someone to win this)
* Croquet & Horseshoes
* The Express Clydesdales
All this for $5.00. There is an after party at the Deep Duece Bar and Grill. Looks like a nice outing :tweeted: .

The Hootenanny is every Thursday in September. Check the ad in the Gazette every week for the bands and free food. Should be fun.

This would be very fun. Don't think I could make it this Thursday, but if it's something that occurs every week, I'd be interested in going in the very near future!

Yeah, I saw the ad in the Gazette. Looks like a good time. Good to see the Capitol area bringing in some entertainment. We're seeing more events that are using interesting sites in the city. We're packing the calendar. Cool. I'll make it one or more of these Thursdays.
