Just saw this go by on the OKC subreddit: Urban Essentials Co (http://www.urbanessentialsco.com/) (Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/urbanessentialsco), Instagram (http://instagram.com/urbanessentialsco), Twitter (https://twitter.com/UEC_OKC)).

Seems to be mostly made of vapor at the moment as it only has an email sign up and the promise of an eventual Kickstarter, but it's an interesting idea.

I was going to post something about this earlier but forgot.

Hey guys! Awesome to see this posted. My partners and I are actually behind this and plan to launch October 1st.

These days everyone is connected and prefers instant gratification. If only I had a dime for every time I heard someone complain about having to go to the grocery store! You'll be able to place your order and receive it within a 3 hour window using standard delivery.

We are working with Back40 design in Edmond to get the website and app together. Hoping to be able to add anywhere from 5-15 jobs over the next year or so, depending on how the logistics of the delivery system turns out in practice.

I hope everyone else is as ready as I am for a service like this!

Cheers

Hello everyone,

Just so you know we will be attending a pool party at Legacy on Aug 2nd. It will be great to give away some store credit and introduce ourselves to the community. Around the 21st of August we will be attending Maywood apartments too. Hope to see some of you there!

I really like the idea and I know a few people who will definitely take advantage of this! Myself included!

Well, this kind of reduces the need for a downtown grocer. It's a fairly complete offering, and one of the least favorite chores in my house is grocery shopping. Also, the prices seem really close to retail - I'm curious what the business model is that allows them to charge these prices, offer free same day delivery, and make money.

I think I'll be trying it out.

They do offer the 3 hour delivery which is 2.99 but that still seems reasonable.

Hey! Hope you guys have had a chance to try the service out. So far the results have been great and we've had some really good reviews. If any of you have given it a go I'd love to hear some feedback.
