(I've never actually been there, yet, as James Taylor once said--about a show I saw on Food Network, before I moved to CreateTV for my Culinary Pleasure--I'm goin' to Carolina in My Mind. =) I can't even remember the name of the place . . . But the way they cooked them whole pigs over charcoal was something to behold. Almost fergot . . . This is a Music, Historical Thread. =): wDJfd9ufE84 (tom t. hall came in a close second or third, right next to kris Kristofferson, billy joe shaver, and warren zevon, in MY book . . . =) They ALL have some great Pig-Pickin' Tunes. (did I forget Shel Silverstein . . .? He probably wouldn't have picked pork. =) (edited to add: that place in the South Carolina didn't use charcoal. they used chopped in the backyard, what to others, might appear to be simple firewood. it sure looked like a good use of tree by-products to me. totally organic.) |
