This story is just too funny. He walks into a Wal-Mart naked and tells authorities he was there to buy some clothes. The scary thing is, this wasn't an intentional prank.

I'm surprised they noticed him apart from their average shoppers.

I believe he'd been cooking meth and needed an excuse to claim to be
insane.

I don't understand him not finding his undershorts in the pick-up, putting them on and driving away, unless he expected be in trouble if he showed up only in his shorts at home.

Nah. Meth cooks who prefer Wal-mart are generally clothed, and they seem to prefer to do their cooking on site.

I am more surprised he wasn't driving around naked in one of those Lane blocking motorized carts.

The only way this story would be better if he tried to escape from the cops on one of those. Very low speed chase.

Made me laugh to see "Trousers" chime in on this particular thread. :)

The only way this story would be better if he tried to escape from the cops on one of those. Very low speed chase.

Long, long years ago when I represented a crisis center, staff came to me and said one of the clients had escaped by going over the fence. They weren't allowed to chase him because they weren't police. They sheepishly handed me the file and I leafed through it while they filled me in with their tale of woe. In the middle of this, I noticed that the man wore a prosthesis because he was missing a leg. I interrupted to ask how in the world a disabled man managed to get away, including over a stockade fence, if they were watching him as they were supposed to. They said he'd abandoned his prosthesis as if this made him all the more slippery. After he cleared the fence, he reportedly proceeded to flip them off as he hopped out of sight while they were dialing 911.

I loved that job.
