I've been seeing stories about this for a couple of days and was astounded to know that this was legal. Anyone else have thoughts? I've been thinking about moving to Hawaii to become an undercover vice cop.

Pretty antiquated thinking in that law. However, it wasn't so uncommon in many states in the distant past.

It takes an officer with a special kind of stupid to be okay with putting himself in that much danger (actual physical danger of harm, STDs, mental impact etc.) all to make a prostitution arrest.

That said, even our local PD are allowed to go pretty far when making a case. OCPD policy allows vice officers to get naked, get groped, have the suspect get naked and even intimately touch the suspect.

I've known two officers that spent time with OKC Vice and determined pretty quickly they'd never be able to work in that department because of the day-to-day activities of some of the officers.

In the past, arrest reports from OKC Vice were a page or two long. I would then gather them and post a series on JohnTV called 'The Seedy Side of Vice; Deputized Deviance.' I'd let their own words show the public the lines they regularly crossed. Some of our officers spend their days going from massage parlor to massage parlor getting hand jobs. If thats all they get then they wait until its done on several visits before making an arrest. If the woman goes to have sex with them, then they make an arrest on that occasion or the next. Of course, the hypocrisy of their reasoning was fully exposed (no pun intended) when you'd notice in the police reports that the vice officers in question only got naked, had the suspect get naked or did or received any groping when the suspect was an online attractive escort or the rare attractive street walker. Oddly enough, no officers or suspects ever need to get naked when the suspect is unattractive. I fully blame this on Vice's long time Lieutenant, Doug Kimberlin as he allows and encourages such antics. I'm not pointing this finger at all vice officers. I know some that won't cross those lines and I've interviewed several women caught up in prostitution and trafficking that had very good things to say about 1 or 2 specific officers.

I've had multiple cases where the police officer arrested the prostitute after they'd had sex. One officer even basically said as much in his police report. You should have seen the reaction of the Assistant DA when I said I was going to send a copy of the report to the cop's wife.

Then there was the case of the OKC police officer who was having sex with prostitutes while on duty and even in his patrol car. He is STILL a police officer.

I've caught 4 law enforcement officers over the years engaging in lewd acts.

Ans?: [google it or look for the app]
Easy Answer: Ask Brian. (not a Facebook Ad)

Serious ? to OP . . .
Where's the sidewalk (for walking purposes) as compared to streets (for driving) to the local Braum's?

(isn't it better to be a sidewalker than a streetwalker? =)
