I lost my little buddy of 14 years today. My Corgi wasn't feeling well for a couple days and wasn't eating. I took him to the Vets and was holding him in the waiting room and he laid his head down on my arm and passed away. The vet said he was bleeding internally and it looked like a ruptured spleen. That little guy and I went through a lot together and I'll miss him greatly. I'm sure he's chasing everything he can up there in Heaven with a smile on his face.

Aw, that sucks. So sorry for your loss.

My oldest Lab turns 12 in a couple of weeks and I realize every day we are on "bonus time". I dread having to say goodbye to her but for now I'm incredibly grateful for how healthy and frisky she is.

Sounds like he went pretty quickly, which is always a blessing. I'm sure you gave him the best possible life.

Prayers go out to you....
Losing a pet is one of the worst things one can go through because even though we give them 100% what they turn around and give us is priceless.
Once again prayers inbound and remember the good times.

Very sorry kelroy55. It's never easy with a long term fur-bud.

I'm sure your little buddy was grateful you were holding him when his time came. Sorry. I've lost two in my lifetime and I think when I lose the one I have now it is going to be the hardest.

Sorry for your loss, dogs become such an integral part of the family so quickly. As odd as it sounds, it's good that he passed in your arms, I'm sure it was of great comfort to him. We owe it to them to hold them to the end.

My condolences.... I lost mine back in July of 2012. My little Molly Marie. She was a short hair Dachshund that adopted me when I met my wife back in 08. We we were pals the four years we knew each. She got sick after a back injury and never recovered. She died in my arms too. My only regret is I wish I had met my wife 10 years sooner so her and my wife would not have had to endure the abuse my wife's ex-husband put the two of them through. My wife tells me to this day I was the first male she took to. The rest Molly hated.

Thanks for all the kind words. He lived a good life full of love and being spoiled. If there's such a thing as Heaven I'm sure he'll be waiting at the gates to greet me :)
