They all for the most part{cox especially}seem to be fairly frequent with their rate increases. What we need is some competition to come in and blow the whole thing up. Maybe even offer channels ala carte wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Somebody has to pay for Bundling the Newbies.
It's a bit like Obamacare I suppose.
When I call to pay my OUTRAGEOUS bill, tomorrow, I will tell them I want to pay exactly what the Noobs are paying and when they stutter around telling me why that can't happen I will become a Noob somewhere else.

I haven't seen my bill, but I'm unsurprised, it's about due for another rate increase. Sadly, I only have internet so there isn't really anywhere for me to scale back.

I've considered dropping from the Preffered to the Essential internet. Starter not offered on the website, but it's mentioned in the billign notice. Not sure how much you can do on a 5Mbps connection vs. 25Mbps. Is the competition any better for price vs. speed?

We have premier, I think. We stream with the Roku(s) and the wife works from home, and I do some work on the side as well. We need the bandwidth.

I've said it before, but we can stream two rokus playing hd video on both and still use a laptop with absolutely no buffeting issues on the 5 megs. I'm pretty impressed with it actually but I would drop Cox in a heart beat if i could get a cheaper unlimited internet but they have a monopoly and they know it. I'm sure there will be yet another increase a year from now...just like there was last year, and the year before that, and the year before that, and the year before that....

While magically internet gets cheaper and exponentially faster outside the the US because they actually have real competition.
