Maybe it's me but I can't pull up NewsOK.com on three devices using three different browsers, either using Wi-Fi or cellular.

Hacked or a hiccup?

It's down for me as well. Probably a little hiccup with the servers.

Hopefully it's down while they're uploading a redesigned site. #wishfulthinking

Actually the building had an electrical fire. My wife said they were evacuated and sent home.

Back up. No mention of the site being down or a fire at their HQ. You'd think that the Ogles would be all over it!

Perhaps NewZOK was "hacked" (in the journalistic sense of the word) a long, long time ago?
I wouldn't know. I simply watch the televised version of the news.

They posted on FB, but yeah it was this morning. My wife said she thought it was a fire drill till she saw the smoke and fire department.

Is anybody besides me getting sporadic redirects to a site demanding you update Java when browsing NewsOK.com? It's been going on for several weeks now and affects all my computers.

The site it redirects to has nothing to do with Java even though it looks like it so if anybody is getting this, don't fall prey.

I have gotten that a few times but I just get out of the site and back in when that happens.

They actually did have a bug on their site for quite a long time. One of the embedded ad vendors had some ads streaming with malware in them. I reported it to them a few months ago and they seem to have gotten that corrected. Unfortunately, most AV solutions didn't detect it because of bad browser integration. Sophos AV found it and reminded me every time I opened a new story that there was a bug. LOL.
