JayhawkTransplant,
Not really, I have an 8,000 square foot home! Ok, maybe closer to 1,650. It would be nice to compare size/usage and then talk about why the difference. I know I need to add insulation in my attic and probably in my walls as well, but what other differences are there?

Sqft and age of house? Number of occupants?
Electric heat/heat pump/dual fuel HVAC system?
Gas water heater/stove/clothes dryer/fireplace?
Do you have an alternate heat source such as wood fireplace/pellet stove?

Interesting that 1.3 extra decatherms from 2012 to 2013 increased cost $90...
The $90 increase for the extra 1.3DTH would make sense if 2012 wasn't a full billing year..

We went ahead and switched to "Plan A" due to our use normally being below 50DTH per year. Let it be known that unlike OGE, ONG makes the change effective by BILL DATE, not BILLING CYCLE. $14 is stupid tax for me not noticing, Feb use was billed at Plan A rates, even though I didn't switch plans until March.

Our house was 2,500 sf and there were three of us living there (including teenage son). We were geothermal but we had gas cooktop and gas fireplace. Our average bill for the year was $14.38.

I didn't realize how little that gas cooktops/fireplaces used. Monthly service charges really add up for low use customers, even $4/gallon propane would have had a lower overall cost.
