I read about this yesterday on Hemmings.com. I never knew Kentucky had such a network of what is call 'karst". A network of underground springs and caverns.

Bowling Green, the location of the Museum, is nearby or next to Mammoth Cave. There could be a relationship or finger off that cavern.

This was new to me, but if you look at the map, you can see that these areas spread across the entire state.

Just the facts

The cavern system through this region of Kentucky is extensive. Mammoth Cave is just one of the many cave systems in the area and it alone has over 400 miles of caverns (and parts of it have yet to even be explored by anyone).

And here I was thinking about going on the corvette caravan to the 20th anniversary of the museum this year.

Caught this story on the NewZfeed from K4 before it was yesterday's news.
Question: Why would anyone put a Corvette Museum in Kentucky (fer cryin' out loud)?
There is no way a decision like that could be "Justified" . . .

New Madrid Missouri was angling for the location . . .
Why didn't they get it?

Was it, perhaps, that the bid from Arcadia, OK, nestled comfortably downstream from an earthen dam in The New Earthquake Zone, and adjacent to a Round Barn confused them?

For what it is worth - the GM Corvette Assembly plant is just down the street from the Museum.

I just checked in and a crane boom has moved into view and some workers were milling about.

Oh GAWD the Smell!

How is that karma?

So you believe those events have the GM brass happy? Not good publicity for GM.

Oh GAWD the Smell!
03-01-2014, 01:07 PM
Of course not. But what does that have to do with karma?

Also...Neither event was caused by GM products. One was nature, the other was a hack job on the wiring/battery setup for the extra lights.

It has $11 Billion dollars of Karma. That's the taxpayers loss from the $50 Billion dollar bailout. Now they've been covering up a safety issue that caused the deaths of 13 people to date. The 40th Anniversary car will be next. I'm having trouble connecting to the webcams now. Too many people on there.

40th Anniversary car is out. I still can't connect to the cams, but they have still pics posted of the car coming out hanging on it's side. The black '62 will be next. They say the Blue Devil fired right up, but then it wasn't laying upside down.

Yeah the Blue Devil fired up and they drove it out of the skydome. I think it was the last car to fall in the hole and probably had the least amount of damage. The 40th car looked pretty scratched up.

In 1969 There was a black '58 with red interior for sale for $2,800. I
thought the price was too high. It was on the corner of @ NW 67 and
N Portland.
