An interesting article.

From The Daily Mail (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2551578/Is-Twitter-making-STUPID-Social-networking-sites-making-hard-people-think-themselves.html)
They have become a quick and easy way of learning about everything from
world affairs to the affairs of friends.

But Twitter and Facebook may be eroding our ability to think.

Researchers believe speed, volume and ease with which information is
shared through social networking sites may be making it more difficult for
us to think analytically.

I actually feel dumber for having read that article.
Does that count?

I don't think it makes one stupid. But FB (not on FB anymore) and Twitter has shown me that there are a lot of stupid people out there.

I consider Twitter a boon. Then again, what reputation I have is built on short and sassy commentary; making it shorter and sassier is part of the fun.

I was stupid long before Twitter hit the scene.

I thought the article and findings were very interesting and somewhat
convincing.

Since I don't use Twitter or Facebook I guess I'm still as smart as I ever was.

Since I don't use Twitter or Facebook I guess I'm still as smart as I ever was.
I only use Facebook to see the photos of my family. I don't post or reply to
anything, in fact my last post was about 2 years ago. I do use the messaging
portion of fb on occasion. I have a Twitter account but I don't use it since
I have no reason to.

I know many use them ad infinitum. Good for them. There's no way I'm
going to put someone down for using them. Nor will I call them stupid.

I guess now that twitter can break the news before 24 hour news networks, they become a bigger thorn in the side of newsprint
