Just saw on Facebook they signed a new lease to reopen in the same strip

Great news for us Moore-ons to say the least

Looks like they basically just have the frame up so far.

Not sure of the target open date, but they also said they might get to hold the St. Patrick's day fiesta in the parking lot

I saw the banner out in the parking lot that says it will now be the Okie Tonk Cafe. Anyone know why they are not going back to the old Irish themed pub?

I haven't spotted anything on FB saying why they are renaming. They did say the setup will be similar with non smoking and smoking sides and stage in the corner. My guess is they will have their best Irish items along with standard pub fare.

Good for them. I'm glad they are reopening although we don't visit as much as we used to (when we lived just a few blocks away). Can't say I care either way for the food offerings as we didn't really eat there that often but the name sucks, holy crap... who thought that up? They could win me over with a good local beer selection but that's pipe dreaming there, nobody around here cares about carrying good beer, just the popular macro swill that makes money. oh well, guess it's a good thing Abner's isn't too far down the road..
