So looks like I have joined the ranks of those who have been laid off from their job. Kind of a bummer as it was something I was more than interested in doing but that's life I suppose. I immediately went back to my previous employer ( who were a Mon-Fri operation ) to see if I could get hired back on as I knew of 4-5 other people who had rejoined the company around the time I was there, but at the moment they have no open positions.

What jobs are available that offer a Mon-Fri day shift? I know they exist but they seem hard to come by. I don't mean to be picky but ever since I started working a Mon-Fri shift my evenings and weekends have been plagued with other commitments that if at all possible would rather not throw in the towel on sort of speak.

A lot depends on what you do or if you're a jack of all trades.

Where you live and what sector you work in would be helpful in suggestions.

You could say I'm a jack of all trades. The last jobs I worked at that were Mon-Fri were teaching ESL, working as a web designer/tech support for floral shops & was an imager for an oil&gas brokerage company. I have a BA in International & Area Studies from OU.

I live in Moore. Preferably would like to work in Norman but as it was determined in an earlier thread Inposted, Norman doesn't have hardly any well paying jobs so I'm open to Oklahoma City, as well ( as long as it's not too far away north, unless the pay is amazing ).

If I were you, I would try city, county, state or government jobs or try to get on the operations/non clinical side with one of the hospitals. I work for one of the major hospital systems. If you work a job that is in the business side of the operation you will have Monday-Friday Hours during the day with nights, holidays and weekends off. It should be noted that most healthcare systems pay you a shift differenital for working evenings, nights, weekends and holidays for the jobs that require you to work all hours.

I'll definitely take a look at city/county/state/government jobs again. Are all of them going to be guaranteed Mon-Fri or are there specific ones ( silly question but just wanted to check )? What kind of jobs are offered on the business side of the hospital operation? Which major hospital system would you recommend me looking into?

I appreciate the info!
