The Dodgers have signed free agent relief pitcher Jamey Wright to a one-year deal, confirms Jon Heyman.

Wright, 39, appeared in relief for the Dodgers 66 times in 2012, so this is reunion. He pitched for the Rays last season, putting up a 3.09 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 65 strikeouts in 70 innings. He allowed nine of his 24 inherited runners to score, a decent strand percentage.

The Dodgers have been busy this offseason in terms of beefing up their bullpen in front of closer Kenley Jansen. Brian Wilson was re-signed to serve as the setup man and now both Chris Perez and Wright have been added.

News of the signing was first reported by Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times.

He has had a pretty incredible career. He's damn near played for every team in the MLB it seems like.... That's why they call him the Gypsy.
