A woman found a hawk in Oklahoma City with its wings frozen.

Linda Powell with the Bethel Foundation said she found the hawk at about
8:30 a.m. Saturday. At first, Powell said she thought it was a statue
because it wasn't moving.

Powell said when she got closer, she realized the hawk is alive. However,
it couldn't take off.

While keeping a close eye on the hawk, Powell contacted the Oklahoma
City Animal Control hoping to get the hawk the help it needs.

Animal Control officials say the hawk also had a broken wing. They are
taking him into rehabilitation before setting him free.

That storm really did a number. I had several finches at my feeder, this morning, whose tails were encased in solid blocks of ice about a half inch cubed. I guess the ice settled in while they roosted. I have no idea how they were able to fly.

I've seen some damage to trees but not as bad as was forecast.

This might be a good time to put in a plug for WildCare in Norman. They do a good job of taking on the wild animals that OKC AWD (and other local AWDs) get in their control, curing them, rehabilitating them, and (often) releasing them back into the wild. Rondi Large (IIRC) runs WildCare and does a good job!
