On December 21, 2007, Tribune Company (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribune_Company) and Local TV agreed to form a "broadcast management company" to provide management services to both Tribune Company's and Local TV's stations.[4] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_TV#cite_note-4) Also as part of the agreement, the websites for Local TV's stations were transitioned to a platform developed and managed by Tribune Interactive (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribune_Interactive).[5] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_TV#cite_note-trib-schurz-local-5)

So in reality, Tribune has already been involved for 6 years in some form or fashion. Local TV LLC was formed in 2006 when Oak Hill Capital bought the handful of stations from the NY Times - which KFOR was part of.
