Fog rolled into the OKC metro Sunday night. But it hung around well into Monday morning, becoming amazingly thick.

So much so, that it resulted in flight cancellations at Will Rogers airport -- but also produced some pretty amazing photo shots.

Weather.com put out a story on it here:

Here's some of the great fog photos:

Truly amazing photographs.

I remember one time when it got so foggy in my old hometown that visibility was nearly down to zero in some places. Boulder, Colorado, is in a big valley next to the front range of the Rockies and there is a road to the top of a mountain called Flagstaff. We drove to the top, well above the fog. Looking down, it appeared as if a big, round, cloud had settled down over the town.

Those pictures brought back a vivid memory of that night.

Thank you.

Didn't know you were from Boulder; that's awesome!

I was in Bakersfield, CA for business and we went into a place to eat and it was clear out and when we left the place you couldn't see in front of you.

Those tequila shots will do that, yeah...

Just kidding!

Here's a screen shot that shows how the fog affected the airlines. American Airlines Flight 1408 flew from DFW to OKC, drove around in circles for a half hour, then went back home. You'd think that on some of the shorter flights (from DFW or Houston, for instance) the airlines would wait for the fog to clear before taking off, but I saw several leave both Dallas and Houston, fly all the way to OKC, circle around for almost an hour, then go back to where they started.
