Will be interesting to see how well received the automated book system will be there. First one in the country.

Norman gets first automated library of its kind in U.S. Previously reported The Norman Transcript (http://normantranscript.com/previous/x134977962/Norman-gets-first-automated-library-of-its-kind-in-U-S)

I showed this to a friend of mine and they informed me that this isn't the first in the country. See: Will fully automated library kiosks get rid of libraries? (http://www.publiclibraries.com/blog/will-fully-automated-library-kiosks-get-rid-of-libraries/)

They still seem pretty rare, but unless there are differences between the two that I'm not seeing I don't think calling it the first is factually correct.

I just went to the new library and I have to say what a huge disappointment! Not only it is small but there is only like 50 books, I thought it is going to the same set up as Borders or something like that, the coffee shop looks cool however....
