Couldn't find it on their website to link to..... so here's what I got in my email....

"As you walk around downtown, you may notice boxes containing umbrellas in several office buildings. Downtown OKC, Inc. and VI Marketing and Branding are proud to present Pop-Ins - downtown's new umbrella share program. It's a convenient, sensible and free shelter from the storm. Just grab an umbrella when you need it and drop it off in any Pop-Ins location when you're done.

Umbrella stands will be located in major buildings and high traffic areas downtown, and are free to use when you may be caught - up a street without a brella!

Stay up-to-date by liking the Pop-Ins page on Facebook or by following Pop-Ins on Twitter."

Interesting idea.....

Plan to see homeless people selling umbrellas soon!

They have a facebook page set up.

I would have linked to the Facebook and/or Twitter page, but I'm certain many people do not have accounts for either. Surprised its not on their main website (open to everyone).

Pop-Ins (http://vimarketingandbranding.com/popinsokc/)

I'm curious how this will work under the Honor System, but I really like the idea!

Hope people don't abuse it and keep the umbrella. But, a very nice idea indeed

Considering the umbrellas appear to be visibly logo'd, I'd assume most of those that disappear will be people running to their car in the rain and then realizing, "Now, what do I do with this umbrella? Guess I'll bring it with me next time I come to the city." (and then don't).

I love how at first glance it looks like the crowd is praying - but then you realize, no, their just texting.
