I'm planning on writing the new owners of Shepherd Mall requesting a name change. I think the office complex is long overdue a name change. Keeping "mall" in the name is a bit deceiving.

What do you tihnk the new name of Shepherd Mall should be? Please vote above. I'll submit the winning name to mall management.

Shepherd Center

I put in my 2 years at that place many moons ago at AOL...don't miss driving down 23rd at 1AM one bit. :)

Of the names there - when I think of "plaza" I think of something somewhat upscale, so that's out. When I think of "complex" or "park" I think of multiple buildings. So I went with "center". And since it's an "office center", that's what I voted for, "Sheperd Office Center".

I voted for Shepherd Center. It's large enough to carry the "center" description. I like Shepherd Office Center too.

I voted to keep it the same. But I agree with Luke now, that Center might be more appropriate.

Shepherd Office Mall or Shepherd Business Mall. Past and present combined. It keeps the "shopping mall" out by placing the "business" or "office" but retains the mall heritage well because it still is a mall just not a shopping mall.

Please continue to give your input here. Next week I'll post a final poll with the top 3 choices. Then I will submit the idea to the new owners and mall mangement.

I think Shepherd Center is a little ambiguous and contains the dreaded alliteration. I don't think you mentioned them but I just adding Business or Corporate to 'Shepherd Center' would break up the alliteration and be more descriptive.

Shepherd Center has class. The others are too plain.

I live by the Shepherd Mall. I'm thrilled that it has a new owner... :D
