Another nice story in the national press about our great team and its players, this time in the Wall Street Journal. Here's one paragraph:

"Not far away, Westbrook was exiting the locker room, wearing a pair of tortoise shell glasses and a tweed fedora. He looked ready to take the train to Williamsburg and screen a documentary about birds. The Thunder are quirky but they are regarded as a model franchise; They lost in last year's finals, but given the team's youth and consistent growth, future championships are less expected than presumed. Just before this season began, Oklahoma City traded one of its young stars, James Harden, having failed to agree with him on a contract extension. The move was seen as abrupt, but also as a clear indication that the Thunder have an unwavering plan. Harden was liked, and is missed, but Oklahoma City is not struggling. After Wednesday's win over Brooklyn they are 15-4, near the top of the league."

Russell should be hearing from the Audubon Society about now.

With all the different good articles that have been written by the Thunder recently, I'm becoming spoiled :-(. Those NYT writers are something special. This WSJ article was okay, but the pacing and flow were not well constructed vis-a-vis the NYT works.

It's funny. We had the magnificent article in the NYT, then the front page story in USA Today. I thought to myself "The only thing missing is a write-up in the Wall Street Journal and we'll have hit the trifecta of the three most important national publications." And a week later, here we are.

Of course now we need to work on 60 Minutes.

Maybe would could get Honey Boo Boo to come to a game. That would really put us in the big time.
