Here is how the bowls are looking so far. More announced throughout the evening. I'm going to try to keep this first post updated until the forum locks me out from editing anymore. If it isn't in bold, it isn't confirmed.

Big 12 schools are in Red.

So OU and OSU both take exciting bowl trips to Dallas. I bet a quarter or more of both teams are from the metroplex, how exciting.

Baylor accepts Holiday Bowl invite vs. UCLA.

Louisiana Tech (9-3) apparently is turning down a bowl invite to avoid playing Louisiana Monroe.

Disappointing, I was really hoping the Sooners would play Florida State, it would be a great bowl game instead of boring Texas A&M....

Yup. Out of all of the possibilities I saw out there this one sucked the most.

Disappointed, are you kidding me. OU barely and I mean barely avoided being 7-5. This team would get crushed again in a BCS bowl. Let's just he honest, OU has slipped in terms of its ability to compete against the "big boys" of college football and could very easily lose to TxAM

College football is so silly. There is truly just one bowl game that matters. The rest of them are simply meaningless.

Isn't the point, though, that they did, in fact, avoid being 7-5? This team could have folded its tents like last year, but didn't. Yeah, luck might win you one close game with a great bounce, but at some point the team has to be given the credit for three wins in close games. I think most coaches and players will say that's a matter of "learning/knowing how to win." Their two losses are against the Big 12's BCS rep and one of the teams in the national title game, and that even given that this is not a marquee Sooner defense.

Not trying to be disagreeable, dc, but this team overcame a lot in the last year, and despite the KSU loss, I think they have every right to be disappointed to be kicked out of a BCS bowl by an NIU team that lost to the worst team in the worst "power" conference in the country. Understand its the rules, that's the way it goes, shoulda beaten KSU, etc, etc, and all of that's 100% true, but we all know there's no way NIU makes it in on merit. OU was a major conference co-champ, and deserved that at-large bid. Realize there's nothing to be done about it, too.

I think this is the first year Texas A&M isn't boring. Johnny M is a fun player to watch, and will probably win the heisman. Mike Stoops is going to have to bring his A game.

I think most would rather have Florida than A&M at this point. A&M is going to be a tough team to beat, but at least we are use to them.

Texas A&M Aggies -5 vs. Oklahoma Sooners. Last time A&M was favored over OU? 1999. +3.5 at home & they smoked Texas A&M 51-6.
