My wife and I just returned from a trip to Austin (did the Austin Tough Mudder). While there we found a place that had a regulation flying trapeze and did several month long classes and individual classes. We did about a three hour class and thought it was really awesome. By the end of the class we were swinging hands free upside down and even transferring to another acrobat on another swing.

The wife really wants to do more of this locally - does anyone know if any of the gyms in the city have a full size trapeze and offer classes?

According to this article (http://www.okgazette.com/oklahoma/article-15768-trap-ease.html) from the Gazette. The one you attended is the closest to us.

That's too bad. But we go to Austin 4-6 times a year, so I guess she'll have to get her fix then. It was $45/ea. for the semi-private class - which I thought was a bargain. Wish we could get that here and/or an obstacle course training area.

There used to be some guys in Tulsa who held classes, but I don't think they're in business these days.

Actually, we both went and enjoyed it. She however wants to take it to the next level. She's pretty cool that way.

1. Age is pretty relative. She turned 40 this year and celebrated with a 6 mile mud run in Sparks, then the Trapeze lesson and also completed the Austin 12-mile Tough Mudder obstacle course - so, yes, she's pretty healthy.
2. Yep, she is.
3. Yep, I am.

This is my 40-year old wife, who think she's 20 on the trapeze last weekend...
