What I want to know is, will she be serving me?

Why go into the greyhound bus station when it will soon be moving out of the building over to east Reno?

I'm assuming they can just move it. Its an oversized vending machine. Lol

Also, news9 isn't doing their research. That isn't the first automated large vending machine. That company has a couple hundred listed on their website.

For some reason, when they said first robotic convenience store, I thought it was going to be a store the size of a 7/11 and you would just walk in, pick out whatever you need, and the cashier would be an android or something like that.

These Shop24 machines are all over Europe and Russia. The parent company was sold to a new U.S. company and it's now based in the United States and they've been opening U.S. locations, but they've been open in Texas and California before Oklahoma City. News9 should do their homework.

The only reason I know about Shop24 is they were talking to the zoo in Bucharest, Romania a few years ago, I don't know if it ever went in. I was told then that the one in the Moscow Zoo does a big business. I hope they do well here.

yea, the title to the article is pretty ridiculous. Replace "World's First" with "Oklahoma's First" would be more like it.

I'm thinking that there used to be an automated grocery type thingy in Edmond a few years back, somewhere around 2nd and Fretz. Can't think of the name. I remember a few people mentioning it, but I never did try it.

Please. Japan has had all kinds of crazy vending machines (http://www.toxel.com/tech/2009/06/08/14-cool-vending-machines-from-japan/) for a long time. Maybe not exactly like this one, but still.

What I want to know is if this thing has an automatic security system that makes it transform into a gun-toting robot if anyone ever tries to crack it open. That would be something to write home about.

It's a big vending machine, oooh, the technology is unbelievable! Now if they could manage a vending machine that dispensed appropriately-priced items without jamming or stealing your money THEN I'd be impressed.
