This would make the road back to the Finals more difficult for the Thunder

the Lakers would get Howard, Orlando would get Denver guard Arron Afflalo, Denver forward Al Harrington, Philadelphia small forward Moe Harkless, Philadelphia center Nikola Vucevic, three future first round picks and multiple second round picks; Philadelphia would get Lakers center Andrew Bynum and Orlando shooting guard Jason Richardson; and Denver would get Sixers forward Andre Iguodala

Maybe not a huge problem.

Lakers definitely look stronger on paper; however, the big question to be answered stems around Howard & Bryant being able to share the same stage and spotlight. Kobe is getting old as an NBA player and going through the change (LOL)!

I remember when Shaq joined the Lakers; he and Bryant were in constant turmoil--they were able to tolerate each other.

Now with Howard entering the picture (much more attractive than Shaq), Bryant will have to share his stage and spotlight. Pretty Boy Howard will pose a threat to Bryant's enormous ego--especially one who says that James Harden (Bryant's idol) couldn't sit at his (Kobe's) table. One wonders how that is going to affect P. Gasol, he has definitely had to take a back seat to A. Bynum. It's a show and tell in L.A., and it's going to be an interesting season. Nash will definitely have to play a pivotal role in keeping the Lakers' eye focused on the grand prize.

The Lakers are old, Nash had about as many turnovers last year as assists. And they are all a year older, and when your age catches up to you in this league, it shows. Howard is the only relatively young one of the bunch at 26. Everyone else is over 30. Where we have them is in the bench depth, both last year and this coming season. If you saw the interview with KD and Hardin, they're not intimidated at all by the Lakers.

Nash may have one spark left in him and then they will put him out to pasture. This team has a lot of weight on its shoulders; this should make it more difficult for them to perform.

They have looked pretty bad, but, remember, how bad the Heat looked at first too... Time will tell how good they are...
