You beat me to it, RH =)
However . . .
This sounds like an event for The Calendar.

(personally, i would enjoy seeing Mr.JCReillyyLosCompadres more than Willie Nelson.
and at The Downtown Airpark . . . Dang. this is, like, awesome.
i think the planning of a "day off" is in order.)

(the "intentional irony" of the venue is what makes it all worthwhile.
not to menition the other stuff.)

This could be like Mini Woodstock for The Midlands if it were in England.
The only thing that could make it better would be if it were at The Blue Door of VZDs with a cameo appearance by Saxondale. =)

No Kidding: A train whistle is sounding a mile away.
This is a Do Not Miss event.

(I still have a tattered "Farm Aid" bandana from Back in The Day . . .")

I really wish that the tour would have come through last year. I think the lineup was way better (old crow, edward sharpe and mumford and sons) and more relevant, but this will still be a cool event. Usually these events skip OKC completely.

Its nice to see something come through okc that is not being held in a casino by an 80's rap group.

AMEN to DAT!
(especially in October, where it's likely to be a bit more cool)

So . . . OKIEHORNET . . . if circumstances prevent the actually occurance of this event where do i get my pre-paid money back?
i'm still waiting for the refund from Rocky's Music Hall in Bricktown for a cancelled Robin and Linda Williams Concert c. 199?)
Thank goodness I didn't cast my money to the winds for a fake tan! =)

All kidding and <snark> aside: Thanks for the info.

radical moderate sees the future... from an email i got today from the tour:

It is with extreme regret that we announce the cancellation of the 2012 Railroad Revival Tour. The decision to do so was a difficult one, but it was determined that certain complications would not permit us to host the shows in the manner intended, and that the bands and fans deserved.

Ticketholders will be receiving a full refund for all costs. All refunds will begin being processed and appear on your credit card statement.

We hope fans will take the opportunity to see these acts in other venues. Thank you.

Dang. (sh*t) Well (sonuvabitch). . . On the bright side (m*therf*cker) . . . Maybe by this time next year, the Rock Island Plow/Implement Company building will be able to provide a more appropriate venue for The Artists involved. Ironically, it ain't all that far from "Rocky's Bricktown Music Hall" . . . But I guess all them thar promoters have all jumped the tracks a little and may be headed for a minor derailment . . .

This will be missed the most.
Or next to the most. Sorta.

(willie nelson? meh. =)

Thank You OkieHornet for the great expectations and readjustment to reality.
No kidding. =)

BTW: I think John Fullbright is supposed to be on a future episode of A Prairie Home Companion.
I hope that just isn't another rumor . . . Maybe Robin and Linda Williams plus their great dobro player will be there too . . .
