Can any one reference a law where you can't cut across a double yellow line in reverse.

Follow the link below to the Oklahoma Driver's Manual.

On page 5-12, it says you can only cross a double yellow to turn left. I didn't see any laws particular to reverse.

I think many forget that when turning at all, you are suppose to go into the closest lane. Lot of people love making those wide left/right turns into the far lane.

Drivers Re-education for everyone every 5-10 years. Would love to see how many of these people fail and lose their driver's license.

What if the middle of the street has no yellow stripes? Is it legal then to back out like pictured above, so that you can conveniently go in the direction you want?

Did the driver of the silver vehicle have a vanity license plate with something like DUMASS?

If it isn't illegal to back across three lanes of traffic instead of driving correctly to the next available driveway to turn around and get headed the right direction--or even to make a semi-illegal U-turn without trespassing on someone's driveway--it oughta be.
