I need to go downtown during business hours this week for an appointment. As a suburbanite, downtown is a whole 'nother world.

Anyway, there are 2 parking garages that I found that I can use, since they are in close proximity to where I need to be.

Plaza Parking Garage
Metro Parking Garage

Both are on Robert S. Kerr, west of Robinson.

Do these tend to fill up rather quickly? I don't want to be driving around desperately trying to find a place to park so if need be, I need to go scout out a few more options if those 2 aren't feasible.

Thanks!

If you're going to be downtown for less than 2 hours you should just parallel park along any street. There are a few streets that I always find a spot on, like Walker over by Hobby's Hoagies.

It'll be 2.5 to 3 hours and I'd rather not have to nurse the meter since I'll be in an appointment.

Basically, cost is not a problem -- availability is.

The Plaza Garage is pretty small but much easier in and out. I believe it's all valet parking.

Metro is massive and you will probably be able to find a space, although you'll likely have to wind up several levels due to all the monthly parkers that get there early in the morning.

There are a bunch of surface lots north of RSK along Hudson.

When I use a garage downtown, it is the Metro garage at Robert S Kerr & N Hudson. I've always found numerous open spaces.

Isn't the Plaza Garage the one that jurors have to park in? If so, isn't this a jury week? Could make for longer waits and less space at that garage. Possibly even the Metro.

There is also the Metro II Garage which is directly behind (north) Metro I Garage.
