Should you have friends or family members that love to sit around bemoaning, "OKC is sooo boring!!" then this weekend may be for you! Just off the top of my head:

Festival of the Arts
Friday Redhawks game vs. Round Rock
Norman Music Festival
OKC Thunder Playoff game vs. Mavericks
OKC Memorial Marathon
Wicked Divas and Joe Bonamassa at Civic Center

Anything else I'm missing?

Here's one more: the Big 12 Rowing Competition at the OK River on Saturday.

None of which was posted is fun or interesting at all to want to attend.

The 700,000 people attending the Festival of the Arts, 30,000 going to the NMF, 18,000 seeing the Thunder play, or 2,500 runners in the OKCMM would disagree with you, but to each his own.

But like you say, to each his own. These activities sure beat complaining on OKC Talk about how uninteresting these events are.

Then don't. I'm sure everyone will appreciate having the parking space you aren't using.

And while everyone else fights for that one space, I'm gonna park down the street and enjoy a walk.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But I cannot imagine such a sour attitude being kept to yourself. A simple "no thanks" would have been quite enough. Shheeshhh...some people....

Unfortunately several of those events may be squashed by a monsoon

If you truly feel this way, then it's not the city that is the problem... It's you...

Yeah, you sound like you're loads of fun to hang around.

I didn't do any of those things listed above, but they all sound like fun to me. Fact is we found additional adventures and couldn't fit any of those on our list.

But some people find comfort when they wrap themselves in bitterness. Hope you enjoy it.
