Any updates? March has hit! :)

I heard this weekend that decorations were going up. He keeps on saying 2 weeks, but he said that 2 weeks ago so we will see how it goes.

Ha!

Next thing you know, they'll advertise "free drinks tomorrow."

From talking to them it seems like everything on their part is done, they are just waiting for the city people, inspectors, etc. to come out and do what they need to do.

Yeah, according to Graham, they've wrapped up their end. Waiting on approvals.

We visited the Edmond location this week. Good food, good beer selection, great service, and welcoming to our dog (huge points for us.)

If you haven't heard, Skinny Slim's in Bricktown will be hosting watch parties for all 3 of the USA matches. They were able to zone off many parking spaces out back where the parties will be primarily held. There will be a big screen set up accompanied with audio. There will also be food and beer vendors as well as merch for sale out back. 21 and over only.

This might go down as the biggest USA watch party in Oklahoma history when it's all said and done!

Watch Party Schedule:
USA vs Ghana / Monday, June 16th @ 5pm
USA vs Portugal / Sunday, June 22nd @ 5pm
USA vs Germany / Thursday, June 26th @ 11am

And because John won't self-promote, I'll do it for him. Consider buying a USA Soccer shirt from John's local t-shirt company - MENT apparel: USA SOCCER | MENT Apparel (http://www.mentapparel.com/collections/usa-soccer)
John has paired with Skinny Slim's to make these shirts with ALL PROFITS going to help pay for soccer fields in impoverished areas (correct me if I got the charity wrong, John). He'll be selling the shirts during the games at Skinny Slim's and they're available at the Energy FC store on Broadway.

Thanks Dan.

To clarify, all profits from our USA Collection will go straight to Fields and Futures (http://fieldsandfutures.com/) (Tim McLaughlin's organization). The Energy will also be selling them in their retail store on Broadway as well as all home games. If you plan to be at Skinny Slim's for any of the USA matches, I will be there selling them.

This is a collaboration between MENT Apparel (http://www.mentapparel.com) and Skinny Slim's. We are extremely proud of this project and hope to help a lot of kids in need.

No one posted about it. But apparently it was a huge success. Saw tons of video and photos showing a great time. Looks like after the win, there was a huge party in the street under the bridge.

But I've long wanted to go to Russia so this may be the perfect opportunity.

*An update from the American Outlaws Facebook page*

DETAILS FOR PORTUGAL WATCH PARTY:
- There will be porta potties!
- The watch party itself will be up and running by 1p, or right before the 2p game. We encourage ALL folks to come out early and avoid those pesky lines!
- Speaking of lines, there will now be TWO lines at the entrance, one for cash and one for cards. We will also have a card machine outside so tabs can be run out there, rather than having to go into Skinnys. We hope this will speed up the process.
- We will also have more folks checking ID's in the lines, so please have them ready! Also, please have your cash/card/ticket allotment order ready when you get to the front of the line.
- Skinnys will be customizing the beer trucks a bit in order to get through orders faster. There should be a line strictly for Hamm's and more beer in general so we shouldn't have any shortages.
- There will be TWO more TVs added to the mix, so we will have 4 total 70 inch TVs out there. We will also be moving the truck back under the bridge just a bit to reduce the glare. There are plans in the mix for viewing the Germany game and/or (knock on wood) any knockout matches. So buy lots of beer!
Again, please get in early so we can reduce the line length pre-match. Also, MENT Apparel (http://www.mentapparel.com) and AO OKC tents will be set up, so buy some sexy merchandise!

I will pin this post to the top and add any details as needed. PLEASE SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS!
We look forward to seeing you Sunday!

Yes, we sold quite a few in about 3 hours time. Keep in mind we lost about 90 minutes of sales during the actual game.

Airon and I did a reorder and are hoping for a bigger turnout on Sunday!

I have ~15% of my inventory remaining. Help support a great local organization in Fields & Futures (http://www.fieldsandfutures.com) by buying a USA Collection shirt from MENT Apparel (http://www.mentapparel.com).

I absolutely love this place, and one of my favorite things to do is introduce my friends to it when they move downtown. I had gotten a little worried with all the management changes that happened, but I met Louis the other night and think he will do well. I'm hoping he will be in for the long haul considering he is financially invested unlike the other two were.

Louis will more than likely move back to Springfield (the original Skinny Slim's) in 2-3 months. The main reason he is down here is to help transition between Danielle (old GM) and whoever the new hire will be.

Also, with Skinny Slim's opening a new location in Omaha, his time might be split there as well. They are also shooting for Tulsa and Dallas in the coming years.

When Airon left it put her in a tough situation having to work 60-70 hours a week while going to school. She wanted to focus more on school so she decided to leave for the time being.

Went to the Skinny's in Edmond on Sunday for the first time...

Went about 4PM and it was quite busy. Clearly, they have a large group of regulars that hang out there.

Unlike the Bricktown location, the Edmond site serves food and I had a very good burger; my buddy raved about the bangers & mash.

Also went back to the one in Bricktown on Friday night and it's just such a great, friendly little bar.

AND I had meant to go back there Saturday and/or Sunday to watch the footie in the morning, but too much to do this weekend. Looking forward to riding my bike over there on many weekends during soccer season.
